The HKS 45999-AN004 Crank Angle Sensor Conversion Kit is designed for Nissan vehicles equipped with the SR20DET engine. The system independently detects crankshaft and camshaft position signals, providing more accurate engine speed and crank angle data for advanced engine management and tuning.

The factory SR20DET system generates the crankshaft position signal through the cam angle sensor. Timing chain movement can introduce significant signal variation, particularly at high engine speeds. By separating the crankshaft and camshaft signals, the HKS kit enables more stable engine speed recognition under high-load and high-RPM operating conditions.

The kit uses a dedicated ATI crank damper pulley with an integrated trigger wheel. The trigger phase is optimized according to the crankshaft sensor position to support reliable engine starting. Dedicated harnesses, brackets, and related installation components simplify fitment, while the harness incorporates noise countermeasures and can replace aged factory wiring.

• Replacement with HKS SUPER FIRE RACING COIL PRO 43005-AN004 or 43005-AN005 is recommended when the ignition coils are worn
• Compatibility with naturally aspirated SR20DE engines has not been confirmed
• S15 vehicles using an HKS F-CON V Pro require a fuel cell or equivalent fuel system modification because the factory canister system uses solenoid control and may leave insufficient control channels available
