The HKS Power Editor R is a model-specific boost-up controller developed for the Honda Civic Type R FL5. By connecting inline with the vehicle’s sensor harness, the system allows for an easy and reliable increase in boost pressure using a true plug-and-play installation. The included harness is specifically designed for the FL5, ensuring compatibility without wiring modifications.

Unlike conventional boost-up devices that rely solely on engine RPM signals, the Power Editor R utilizes multiple vehicle signals, including vehicle speed and throttle position. This enables precise control optimized for each gear and throttle opening, delivering smooth and consistent power and torque across the entire RPM range.

The unit is supplied with preloaded boost-up data, allowing immediate performance enhancement after installation. Additionally, users can create custom control maps using the free Easy Writer for Power Editor R software, enabling fine adjustment based on individual vehicle characteristics.

• CH1: Boost Pressure Sensor
• CH2: Intake Manifold Pressure Sensor
• CH3: Fuel Pressure Sensor
• CH4: Throttle Position Sensor
• CH5: Mass Air Flow Meter
• Cam Angle Sensor (RPM signal)
• Vehicle Speed Signal (optional)

By managing data from multiple sensors, the system significantly improves low- and mid-range torque while maintaining strong high-RPM performance, resulting in a powerful yet controllable driving experience.

Note: When used in combination with Mastery ECU Phase 2, vehicle-specific tuning of the Power Editor R is required.
