GIRODISC A1-388 Front Brake Rotor Kit for LOTUS Elmira
The GiroDisc floating rotor system is designed as a direct replacement for original equipment brake discs, requiring no modifications for installation. It bolts directly to the vehicle and maintains full compatibility with factory calipers, preserving OEM brake bias and ABS functionality. This solution offers a significant performance and durability upgrade without compromising factory geometry.
Each rotor features a lightweight central hat machined from U.S.-sourced 6061-T6 aluminum alloy to aircraft-grade specifications. The disc ring is cast from GiroDisc’s proprietary iron formula, manufactured and machined entirely in-house in the USA. A curved internal vane design, derived from motorsport applications, maximizes cooling efficiency by acting as a centrifugal air pump.
The floating assembly is engineered with ten precision drive pins, made from high-strength alloy steel and treated with cadmium plating for corrosion resistance. These pins allow axial and radial float to accommodate thermal expansion, while anti-noise spring washers minimize rattle and vibration during cold operation. The result is a rotor system that self-centers between the pads for improved pedal feel and noise control under varying temperatures.
