The GIRODISC A1-066 Front Brake Rotor Kit is a high-performance two-piece brake disc assembly developed for the PORSCHE 991 Turbo, 991 Turbo S, and Cayman GT4. Designed to improve thermal management, durability, and braking consistency, the system utilizes a fully floating rotor configuration engineered for demanding street and track applications.

The rotor assembly incorporates a lightweight aluminum hat and a cast iron disc connected through a floating mount system utilizing 10 high-strength alloy steel drive pins. These cadmium-plated pins transfer braking loads while allowing controlled axial and radial float between the rotor and hat. Anti-noise spring washers minimize cold rotor rattle while maintaining the freedom required for thermal expansion and self-centering between the brake pads.

When combined with performance brake pads and high-temperature brake fluid, the system helps reduce the risk of brake fade, rotor distortion, and overheating during demanding driving conditions. Once installed, only the cast iron rotor ring requires replacement during future servicing.
