The C8 Z06 Eventuri intake system represents a significant advancement in intake design. By reimagining the intake system without the confines of the OEM trunk panel, the design maximizes intake size and showcases the Carbon Fiber intake through a clear polycarbonate panel when the trunk is open.

The OEM Z06 Airbox, derived from the LT3 Stingray Airbox, carries over limitations caused by its constrained shape and volume behind the OEM trunk panel. These limitations become more pronounced when applied to the higher-powered LT6 engine.

The Eventuri solution increases overall volume through an organically shaped system and uses its patented Venturi housing concept to provide a more efficient, less restrictive Airflow path. This delivers increased power and Torque across the entire RPM range, with a significant improvement in mid-range performance.

Patented Filter Housing

The Z06 filter housing uses two patented Venturi pods that merge to create a large volume. It also incorporates two MAF tubes that direct Flow to each bank of the plenum. It is Eventuri’s most complex housing design to date and the culmination of several months of intensive prototyping, testing, and iteration.

Internally, it comprises two bespoke high-Flow filters and aluminum cowls that help direct Flow onto the filters. The Carbon Fiber housing shrouds the reverse-mounted filters and smoothly shapes the Airflow toward the MAF tubes, where volume is gradually reduced. This reduction in cross-sectional area invokes the Venturi effect, accelerating Airflow while maintaining laminar conditions. It can be considered a large Velocity stack.

Bespoke Cone Filter

The Cone filter selected for the Z06 system balances filtration area with overall filter housing volume. Initial prototypes used a larger filter, but these extended too far into the housing and disrupted Flow toward each MAF tube section. A shorter Cone filter allowed the housing shape to be optimized for better Flow while maintaining sufficient filtration area for the CFM demands.

The dry filter medium is ISO-tested to ensure filtration is in line with OEM standards. The filter also uses Eventuri’s signature Flow cones to support the Venturi housing principle.

Carbon Fiber Ducts

The ducts channel ambient air from the side vents to the filter housing. To provide a secure seal against Engine bay heat, they attach to the filter housing at three points and use a neoprene gasket for an airtight seal. The ducts have the maximum internal volume possible within the Engine bay geometry, allowing the filter housing to draw air with minimal restriction.

Clear Trunk Panel

The limited space created partly by the stock trunk panel prevented an intake system with a large volume and smooth Airflow to the engine. The panel was redesigned to accommodate the intake system and manufactured from clear polycarbonate to showcase the Carbon Fiber. This provides a view of the intake system when the trunk is opened, an industry first for this platform.

Bracket Work

A dedicated framework allows the OEM wiring looms to remain secured and out of view. The brackets are laser-cut from Stainless steel and aluminum.

Inlet Flanges

Custom inlet flanges and flexible hoses connect the intake system to the stock cold-air feeds on each side, helping to keep Engine bay heat out of the intake system. The bespoke flexible hoses are designed specifically for the C8 platform.
