The Eventuri Carbon Fiber Turbo Tube for the Toyota GR Yaris and GR Corolla has been engineered to provide the turbocharger with a less restrictive supply of air, improving Throttle response and allowing peak boost to be achieved earlier in the RPM range.

The development objective was to increase the available air volume while maintaining a smooth, laminar Airflow path. This required a complete redesign of the factory Turbo inlet, balancing increased capacity with optimised Flow characteristics.

Following development and testing, the internal volume of the Turbo Tube was increased from 1,300 cm³ to 2,200 cm³—an increase of almost 70%. Much of this gain comes from the lower section around the critical bend leading into the turbocharger, creating a larger air reservoir immediately before the turbo.

Carbon Fiber Turbo Tube:

The main tube body is crafted from prepreg Carbon Fiber, providing rigidity to eliminate the possibility of deformation under the vacuum generated by the turbocharger. The smooth internal surface helps maintain laminar Flow.

The tube incorporates an OEM-style mount to secure it to the engine, as well as breather ports for a plug-and-play installation.

Comparison with OEM:

The most significant increase in volume can be seen at the elbow leading to the turbo. The OEM tube is heavily restricted in this region, creating a choking effect, particularly at Higher boost levels.

The Eventuri tube is enlarged significantly in this region, with an optimised bend radius for a smoother Flow path to the turbo. The result is a twofold increase in the availability of encapsulated air, improving Throttle response and allowing peak boost to be reached sooner.

An overlay of the Eventuri Turbo Tube with scan data of the OEM tube shows the regions where volume has been increased and the Flow path improved.

Connecting Hose:

The Carbon Fiber tube connects to a custom-designed nitrile hose reinforced with ribs to withstand vacuum forces. The elbow can be installed prior to the Carbon Fiber tube for easier installation.

The hose provides a smooth internal surface with internal steps for a seamless transition between the Carbon Fiber tube and the CNC-machined turbo flange.

Turbo Flange:

The CNC-machined turbo flange secures to the turbo and completes the Flow path. The flange can be replaced with separately available alternative versions for larger turbos.
