The BILSTEIN 24-317818 Front Shock Absorber from the B8 5100 RHA series is a ride-height adjustable shock absorber designed for trucks and SUVs with front OE coilover style suspension. It is applicable to CHEVROLET Silverado 1500 II 2007–2013 and GMC Sierra 1500 II 2007–2013, with additional listed applications for Chevrolet Avalanche, Suburban 1500, Tahoe, GMC Yukon, and Yukon XL 1500 models.
The B8 5100 RHA shock absorber uses multiple OEM-specified snap-ring grooves in the body to allow different spring seat positions. Depending on the application, this configuration provides 0-3 inches of front lift with OE springs, with listed lift references up to 2.9” and up to 2.75 in.
The monotube shock absorber features a 46 mm digressive piston with self-adjusting deflective disc valving. The design is application-specific tuned and intended to increase wheel travel, maintain proper suspension geometry, and use the vehicle’s OE coil springs and top mount.
