The INFINITI Q50/Q60 Red Alpha Heat Exchanger is designed to help maintain lower intake temperatures and preserve maximum power output, regardless of climate or driving conditions. This is the only VR30 heat exchanger system selected by INFINITI USA for inclusion in the INFINITI Motorsports Catalog.

The 3.0L twin turbocharged engine in the Q50 and Q60 models utilizes a coolant-based air to water heat exchanger, rather than a traditional air to air front mount intercooler. While effective for stock vehicles under ideal conditions, the factory heat exchanger can become heat soaked, reducing horsepower during demanding use.

Testing has shown that the factory heat exchanger restricts coolant flow, limiting the performance potential of the VR30 engine. The Red Alpha Heat Exchanger addresses this by increasing coolant flow and fluid capacity, resulting in improved intake air cooling and sustained engine performance.
