The AMS Performance 4.3L VR38 Stage 6 Billet Pro Mod Short Block is engineered for high horsepower Nissan GTR builds. This fully assembled short block is designed for straightforward installation and is produced with precision machining using advanced in-house equipment. Each AMS engine is strategically strengthened to support the significant power and torque of OMEGA and ALPHA performance packages. Assembled in a temperature and humidity controlled clean room, every detail is crafted with meticulous attention.
AMS applies decades of race-winning experience to the Nissan VR38, resulting in a robust and advanced engine program. The 4.3L VR38 Stage 6 Billet Pro Mod Short Block is supplied as a complete rotating assembly, ready to be integrated with heads, manifolds, and accessories. The engine incorporates an AMS billet block for exceptional strength and uses only the highest quality off-the-shelf and custom AMS spec components.
The billet block features alloy steel main caps with splayed bolts for improved load distribution and a skirted design for enhanced crankshaft support. Custom ductile iron sleeves and thick cylinder walls withstand extreme pressures, allowing for increased displacement to 4.3 liters. This results in quicker spool times and improved low-end torque compared to the factory 3.8L engine.
Every AMS built engine is handcrafted and assembled to precise specifications, with each block checked for correct dimensions, cylinder bore, main alignment, and block flatness. An archived spec sheet documents tolerances, torque specs, and clearances as part of standard quality control.
