The Alpha Series Camshafts for the VR38 engine are designed as an all-around solution for GT-Rs with upgraded turbos. After extensive testing, AMS developed a cam profile that delivers significant power gains across a wide power band, while maintaining street manners and improved turbo response compared to other options.

These camshafts provide a broad power band for vehicles with upgraded turbos. The design focuses on usable power throughout the rev range, without sacrificing driveability. The Alpha cams offer both strong peak and low-end power, along with excellent spool characteristics.

The Alpha Camshafts are suitable for any Nissan GT-R with upgraded turbos, including bolt-on or full turbo kits. Power gains range from 30 to 100 horsepower, depending on turbo selection and boost levels. These camshafts have been used in AMS’s record-setting Alpha 12 and Alpha Omega GT-Rs.
