High powered GT-Rs can experience extreme G forces during launching and acceleration, causing transmission fluid to move away from the pickup and allowing air to be drawn in instead of oil. This aeration of the transmission fluid leads to a drop in line pressure, resulting in miss-shifts and slipping clutches that may damage the transmission.

The Alpha R35 GTR Deep Transmission Pan & Pickup Relocation kit addresses this fluid starvation issue by moving the pickup to the rear of the transmission pan. Under high G forces, the oil pickup is positioned to access the maximum amount of oil. The high capacity pan increases the transmission oil volume by approximately 2 quarts (about 1.9 liters), further reducing the risk of fluid starvation and enhancing the system's thermal capacity.

The kit retains the factory filter and is designed for straightforward bolt-in installation. It is recommended for any GTR with a built transmission, particularly those that are launched at the track or on the street.
