The AMS Performance 2015-2016 Ford F-150 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo Inlet Tubes are designed to address the small OEM inlet tubes on the 3.5L EcoBoost engine. They provide a large increase in cross sectional area at the bottleneck between the intake filters and turbo compressor covers to allow the turbos to breathe easier with accompanying ECU calibration. The design retains all OEM fittings so all factory systems remain functional.

The AMS SnailWorks Engineering Team has increased the stock pipe size from a 40 mm tube to 62 mm, and engineered a quick and easy way to orient the couplers to make clocking the tubes during installation easier. The AMS Turbo Inlet Tubes work with both OEM and most aftermarket intakes and feature an understated appearance that results in an OEM look and feel in the engine bay. The design maintains an OEM-level of fit and finish, incorporating all OEM fittings for easy installation and to help avoid check engine lights.

One of the most important metrics for determining a restriction in airflow in an automotive intake system is to measure pressure pre-turbo. This measurement should be as close to 0 PSI as possible, indicating minimal restriction in airflow to the turbos, while more vacuum within the intake pipe indicates a more restrictive intake system. The AMS F150 3.5L EcoBoost Turbo Inlet Tubes show an approximate 30% reduction in vacuum pre-turbo, indicating improved airflow and the ability to allow for more horsepower from the engine.
