Choosing Your Roll Cage: A Guide to Chassis Safety & Rigidity

A roll cage is the most important safety feature of any track or race car. It provides a protective structure and dramatically increases chassis rigidity for better handling. To find the right cage, first select your vehicle from the "Car Make" filter, then use this guide to choose the correct type.

Step 1: Half Cage or Full Cage? (Filter by "Product type")

• Half Cage (Bolt-in): The perfect solution for track day enthusiasts. They provide a secure mounting point for racing harnesses and offer rollover protection without the intrusion of a full cage.
• Full Cage (Bolt-in or Weld-in): A complete structure required for any wheel-to-wheel racing. A weld-in cage offers maximum rigidity and safety and is the standard for professional motorsport.

Step 2: Homologation — Your Ticket to Race (Filter by "Homologation")

• FIA-Approved: These cages are certified to meet the strict safety regulations of the FIA. This is a mandatory requirement for participation in most sanctioned racing events.
• Non-Homologated: Suitable for track days and grassroots events where strict FIA regulations are not enforced.

Step 3: Material — Steel vs. Chromoly (Filter by "Material")

The material determines the cage's weight and strength. 4130 Chromoly is lighter and stronger than standard CDS Steel, making it the preferred choice for professional builds.
